Starr of the American Colonization Society discuss sending slaves to Liberia. Papers, 1863-1916, of Linden Kent are his correspondence & item relating to the establishment of the Linden Kent chair of English at U.Va. Letters, 1882-1910, of Charles William Kent describe his studies in Berlin, Gottengen & Lepsic, travels abroad, and teaching at U. of Tenn. & U.Va.
