The collection contains a printed memoir of Gertrude Powell Colston by Charles Minor Blackford, the brother-in-law of her husband Raleigh Colston. The collection also contains a typed memoir of Nannie Fisher Colston Minor, second wife of John B. Minor, written for her children by her brother Raleigh Colston. It includes an account of a family scandal concerning the parentage of Confederate General Raleigh Edward Colston.
