University of Virginia scenes, 4th of July oration, and notebook [manuscript] 1836.

The book contains sections on astronomy, geometry, & surveying, as well as an oration, 1825 July 4, on Lafayette by Charles Sprague, quotations, recipes, poetry, essays, and a map of the Florida campaign during the 2nd Seminole War. Glass plates, ca. 1898, mainly of U. Va. scenes, but also including a scale drawing of the floor plan at Monticello with notes on the location of furnishings and art work, drawn by Martha Jefferson Trist Burke [11 items negative].
