J. J. Jusserand letters to the Rev. Paul Robinson Hickok and Robert Underwood Johnson [manuscript] 1922-1923.

Jusserand writes to Hickok concerning the Washington Disarmament Conference and the necessity of allowing France to possess sufficient armaments in case of future attacks. Jusserand thanks Johnson for some prose and verse and a letter to Mr. Lee. He states that "the publishing of such a wise and powerful document would only do good, especially now that the [Foreign Secretary Curzon?] note is...far from having improved matters." He finds England "...is in better disposition toward us than her leaders. and where are those leaders heading: I cannot hdop having great apprehensions. Our government remains cool and composed."
