In letters to Farley, Ella Somerville writes regarding her Christmas and mentions Elizabeth Spencer, Welty, John Robinson, and a Christmas party at the Faulkners; and Robinson thanks her for a present, discusses life near Frankfurt in 1959, makes plans for a visit, and mentions Welty and her caring for her mother.
