Richard L. Gray diary of his life at Johnson's Island Prison Camp [manuscript] 1862.

Gray describes his life as a prisoner of war at Johnson's Island, and his trip by rail and steamer to Vicksburg to be exchanged. The diary contains a list of prisoners at the island including men from the 31st, 51st and 89th Virginia regiments captured at Bloomery Gap, W. Va., February 14, 1862 by forces of General Frederick West Lander; and a narrative of the war experiences of a Mrs.[Anne Evalina Hunter?] McGill of the lower Valley.
