Chiefly business letters to Hubard from his tobacco factor, Alfred T. Harris of Harris & Gibson, Richmond, and others, regarding: crops, finances and banking. There is some family correspondence, including letters from Edmund Wilcox Hubard which discuss politics, and from his sons Robert Thruston Hubard & Edmund Wilcox Hubard. Other correspondents, besides members of the Hubard family, are Thomas Stanhope Bocock, J.W. Flood, William H. Harrison, Robley Dunglison & J.M. Mason.
