Letter of David Humphreys, Madrid, Spain, to William Willis, Barcelona, Spain [manuscript] 1801 April 25.

Humphreys transmits news of Jefferson's election, the resumption of commercial trade with France, ratification of the Convention of 1800 with France, the death of Paul I, and the passage of the English naval squadron into the sound, and mentions U.S. Consul Richard O'Brien and the U.S. Minister at Lisbon. An engraving of Humphries is included.
