Diary of Fred W. Lord [manuscript] 1944 June 16 to Dec. 14.

Lord, a 1st sergeant of Co. B. 330th Inf., 83rd Division landed at Omaha Beach and fought across France, Luxembourg and Germany until he was wounded near Grobham about Dec. 9. His brief entries describe the continual combat, casualties, occupation of French towns and the taking of German prisoners. The diary has been edited by Alan Francis Stuart Mackenzie.
