Business correspondence, 1901-13, of McCue, lawyer in Staunton, Va., connected with the Farmers & Merchants Bank, and the Iron Gate Building and Investment Company concerning the bank, and the company, and personal business dealing with such firms as Heywood Oil Co., Beaumont, Tex. and Alleghany Ore and Iron Co., Iron Gate, Va. Correspondents include Thomas P. Grasty, and John L. Thornhill, real estate agent in Charleston, W.Va. Also letters between McCue, and Henry Delaware Flood and Claude Augustus Swanson concerning their election campaigns for Congress. Included are the business papers, 1890-1921, of the Iron Gate Building and Investment Company: correspondence, minutes of board of directors meetings, lists of share holders, annual reports, contracts, cancelled checks, and the firm's account books [4 v. 40 cm. handwritten. bound]--Plat of Iron Gate, Va.; and a plan of U.Va. prior to 1936.--Letters of various members of the Perry family [ca. 5 items].
