Personal and business correspondence, legal records and drawings, including designs for a crane, 1830-65, of Miller, a mechanical engineer involved in the development of the steam engine, member of the London firm of Miller, Ravenhill, and Ralkeld, who in later life bought Farmington, Albemarle County, Virginia for his sister Mary Ann Miller Wood Harper. Correspondents include Mary Ann, her two husbands, Robert Warner Wood and Joseph Harper, and her children Lucilla Wood and Warner Wood.
