Copy of 1769 Florida land grant and map [manuscript], 1823.

The original grant was to William Barker for 20,000 acres along the St. Johns River in East Florida. It was accompanied by a map by William Gerard De Brahm, surveyor-general of the colony locating the property. Endorsements by William Heygate, Lord Mayor of London, Thomas Aspinwall, U.S. Consul in London, and Richard Rush, establish the authenticity of the copy.
