Enemy radio digest [manuscript] / prepared daily by the Office of Special Services, 1943-1944.

"This is a summary of foreign broadcasts of items of interest to the Philippine government. It is based on broadcasts monitored by the Foreign Broadcast Intelligence Service of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission. This summary is for the sole use of officials of the Philippine government, and thus no effort is made to edit out any Japanese or other propaganda. Since this digest is based upon a service supplied to us by the courtesy of the FCC, all who receive it are expected to observe its confidential nature at all times." The collection also includes press releases, a copy of the Constitution of the Philippines, and a document entitled "The epic of Bataan." Some issues of Enemy radio digest have underlinings and other markings presumably by the donor, Francis Burton Harrison.

Francis Burton Harrison was born in New York City 18 December 1873. He was the son of Burton Harrison and Constance (Cary) Harrison and the brother of Fairfax Harrison. He graduated from Yale University in 1895 and from the New York Law School. He served in the Spanish-American War and in Congress from 1907-1913. Harrison was governor-general of the Philippines 1913-1921. He lived in Scotland from 1921-1934. He served as advisor to the governors of the Philippines. Harrison died in Flemington, N...
