Papers of the Magruder family [manuscript], 1840-1985.

Papers of the Magruder family consist chiefly of correspondence of Mrs. E. M. Magruder together with some medical records from Dr. E. M. Magruder's Charlottesville hospital and articles by him, school papers and memorabilia of their daughters at St. Anne's, Christmas cards and family miscellany. The collection also contains the professional papers of Evelina Magruder, architect, of Charlottesville, Va., including a diary, 1916; an expense memo book; calling cards; research notes and photographs for the Historic American Buildings survey in Louisa County; sketches and watercolors; scrapbooks of decorating fabrics for clients including the governor of West Virginia; architectural tools; architectural drawings; glasses; earrings; block prints of Clark Hall; and family correspondence.

The Hampton Lillibridge House was built in 1796 by Rhode Island native, Hampton Lillibridge in the traditional New England style. The house was originally located at 310 East Bryan Street in Savannah, Georgia, but when it was purchased by antiques dealer, Jim Williams, in 1963 it was moved to its present location at 507 East Julian Street in Savannah, where it is known as one of Savannah's most haunted homes.
