Miscellaneous Virginia papers [manuscript], 1829-1905.

The papers contain letters, 1862-1864, Fielding R. Cornett, Co. C. 8th Va. Cavalry to Rosamund Hale. Cornett writes about battles at White Sulphur Springs, Pearisburg, Rogersvile, and Lewisburg. He mentions foraging, health of troops, and friends at home. The collection also contains an account, 1830 of a Virginia doctor with Edward O. Goodwyn of Albemarle Co. for treatment of two black women, and an 1855 tax bill. The collection also contains 10 photographs, 3 cartes-de-visite and 3 tintypes, 1892-1905, of Virginians including "Charlie Wells aeronaut." One is from A.F. Smith's photographic temple of art, Charlottesville.
