The collection contains of a letter, December 10, 1853, Henry Meriwether Fowlkes, Greenhead, Montgomery County, Virginia, to his infant son, Henry Augustine Fowlkes conveying spiritual, religious, educational and practical advice. The collection also contains a 1980 transcription of the letter with comments on the value of its contents by Richard B. Taylor a descendant of H.M. Fowlkes, and a page of genealogical data. The collection also includes genealogical charts of Taylor Family Tree, 1699-1999.
