Letter to George Washington [manuscript], 1782 May 25.

Letter, 25 May 1782, from Archibald Cary, Richmond, Va., to George Washington, regarding the death of Cary's wife Mary Randolph Cary, and resolutions passed by the Virginia General Assembly. A handwritten copy of the resolutions, 25 May 1782, regarding British attempts to make treaties with individual states instead of Congress, is enclosed with the letter and attested by John James Beckley.
