The collection contains an electrostatic copy of the corrected typescript of the American edition of "The BFG" and an electrostatic copy of his story "The Bookseller" together with a letter from Stephen Roxburgh forwarding the story to Katharine Leab. The collection also contains four letters, 1980, from Dahl to a Mr. Cranham concerning a talk to school boys at Cokethorpe, and a signed black and white portrait photograph.

Roald Dahl (13 September 1916 – 23 November 1990) was a British author of popular children's literature and short stories, a poet, and wartime fighter ace. Dahl was born in Wales to affluent Norwegian immigrant parents, and spent most of his life in England. He served in the Royal Air Force (RAF) during the Second World War.
