Diary of Jasper Hawse [manuscript], 1861-1864.

The diary of this Captain in the Confederate Army describes the mustering of the North River Company B, 14th Regiment, Virginia Militia and its reorganization into the 11th Regiment, Virginia Cavalry. The diary also includes descriptions of Stonewall Jackson's Valley Campaign, Gettysburg, and Petersburg.
