The collection contains the manuscripts of essays and lectures on various literary subjects, letters, sketches, a book jacket and a playbill. The manuscripts include essays on Kenneth Patchen, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Lafacadio Hearn. A letter from Walter Clemons, 1969, concerns a review of "The collected stories of Jean Stafford."
