Papers of John Reuben Thompson [manuscript], 1846-1876.

In letters, 1846 and 1870, Thompson writes to autograph collector Thomas A. Greene about the death of his sister, lists the signatures he will be sending separately, and notifies B. Johnson Barbour when he will be in Richmond. In a letter, 1876, to autograph collector Edward Denham, R.F. Walker regrets he does not have the desired autographs and sends an enclosed clipping of a eulogy delivered by Barbour at the grave of Thompson. In a letter, 1876, to Denham, Barbour writes that he has a letter of Thompson's to spare.
