Papers of Richard Scott Mitchell, 1937-1988.

Collection contains the personal correspondence and diaries of Mitchell. Diaries document his research and teaching, friendships, daily activities, prayer life and religious commitments. Correspondence consists chiefly of letters from his parents, Margaret May Hartman Mitchell and Clarence Floyd Mitchell, and other relatives, and Christmas messages from fellow Christians including several missionaries. There are also four diaries of his parents and photographs of family and friends.
