Papers of the Women's Christian Temperance Union of Virginia [manuscript], 1882-1958.

The bulk of the collection consists of minute books from state conventions and local union business meetings, 1882-1958. With these are the correspondence files of Amy C. Weech, director of the Virginia Evangelistic Department and Lelia Maude Greaver Page, vice- president of the Virginia WCTU; a history file; a scrapbook of the Fair and Exhibits Department; convention programs; reports and minutes; photographs of Virginia leaders; prize essays; publications; and memorabilia. Also state and national printed material including "Statue of Miss Frances E. Willard," "The light-house: a history of Richmond-Henrico County WCTU 1882-1935," several volumes of "The Virginia call" and scattered issues of other temperance publications. With the collection are a few items from the Anti-Monroe Doctrine Society.
