The collection contains David's file, 1969-1971, from his participation on the McGovern Commission [Commission on Party Structure and Delegate Selection of the Democratic National Committee] and the O'Hara Commission [Commission on Rules of the Democratic National Committee] including correspondence, testimony, statements, newsletters, notes, memoranda, an issues paper, and recommendations. The collection also contains materials, 1966-1968, relating to an experimental graduate seminar in Public Affairs titled "Processes of change; their origins, interaction, and governmental consequences" including discussion summaries, a study guide and a resulting paper and article. With these are notes, general information, and transcripts of lectures given by David at the Salzburg Seminar in American studies, 1963.
