Papers of Max Beerbohm [manuscript], 1901-1927.

The papers contain a galley proof of "Not that I would boast." Letters, 1903-1922, to Arthur Bingham Walkley and Frances Eldridge Walkley, decline or confirm invitations, send a presentation copy of "Zuleika Dobson," mention an article written by them, refuse to give advice on attending a dance, acknowledge a gift, and include a caricature by him. G.K. Chesterton and Hilaire Belloc are mentioned. In a letter to The Daily Herald he responds to criticisms, and in another to an unidentified recipient he offers to write a piece on Oscar Wilde.
