The papers contain the typescript for Long's poem, "On Christmas, anyhow," signed with his self profile in pen and ink, dedicated to Owen Meredith and ten letters or notes chiefly regarding social events, stage plays, playwriting, personal affairs, his writing, health, and the Committee on American Drama of the Drama League of Philadelphia. There is also a typescript fragment from "Nursery rhymes by Alexander Cookery," which, according to a pencil notation on the back, Long sent to James Francis Cooke. The correspondents include Betsy Eleanor Beckwith Cooke, James Francis Cooke, "Duyer," and Mr. Johnson.
