The collection contains two Confederate general orders issued by General Samuel Cooper, 1863 March 26 and June 1. The first pertains chiefly to ordnance officers, and the second to the court martial of William S. Rowan of the 60th Virginia Infantry. In a letter, 1864 September 17, Bermuda Hundred, George N. Aumiller of the 208th Pennsylvania Volunteers writes to his family, Northumberland County, Penn., re: his regiment's trip to Virginia. In a letter, 1865 January 1, A.S. Miller of the Veterans Reserve Corps, Washington, D.C., writes to his wife re: homesickness and his boredom with routine duty.
