Contemporary transcripts of the depostitions of Peter Kidder and Gilbert Smith as taken at the U. S. Consulate, Valparaiso, June 15, 1824 regarding the Globe mutiny. Kidder and Smith were two of the six crewmen who escaped from Mili Atol in the South Pacific. After their deposition, they returned to Nantucket, MA.
