Lazy Club records (including Vegetable Gardening Club, Vegetable Crops Club of Cornell and Cornell Vegetable Crops Club). Nine volumes and 47 pieces, including records of business and attendance at meetings, and correspondence of 1912 by which the club attempted to raise money to move and renovate its quarters.

Liberty Hyde Bailey was instrumental in separating Horticulture from Botany and establishing it as a distinct scientific pursuit. Born on a farm in Michigan in 1858, Liberty Hyde Bailey graduated from the Michigan Agricultural College with a degree in botany. After working with the renowned botanist Asa Gray at Harvard, he returned to Michigan to teach horticulture and landscape gardening.
