The Dept. of University Affairs was previously known as CMDNJ-Dept. of Public Affairs (1970-1981) and later as UMDNJ-Dept. of Government and Public Affairs (1982-2004) until November 2004, when the name was changed to more accurately reflect its mission. The record group primarily documents the Dept.'s news service function. Records date from 1954 to the present, but the majority date to the late 1980s.
