Eamon Grennan, Irish poet and professor, was born on November 13, 1941 in Dublin, Ireland, to Thomas P. and Evelyn Grennan. Grennan graduated with a B.A. from National University of Ireland in 1964, and a M.A. in 1964. He received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1973. From 1974-2004, he taught English at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Grennan is married to Rachel Kitzinger and has three children.
