Recordings of a public lecture by architect Albert that took place Sept. 21, 2000 at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montréal. Albert examines the nature and character of the city-states of Central Europe at the turn of the twentieth century. Presented in the context of the exhibition "Shaping the Great City: Modern Architecture in Central Europe 1890-1937"/"L'idée de la grande ville: l'architecture moderne d'europe centrale 1890-1937" on view at the CCA May 24-Oct. 15, 2000.
