Daniel Williams account book, 1797-1812.

Ledger 1, kept by a merchant probably of East Hartford, Connecticut. Most of the entries are for sundries from the day book (which is not extant). His customers were residents of Glastonbury, East Hartford, Wethersfield, Middletown and Hartford. Of interest is an entry for "rigging your sloop for Capt. William Griswold", and an account for Easther Williams who purchased a brass kettle, a blanket, tow cloth, platters, plates and other items reminiscent of setting up housekeeping or gathering dowry items. There is one mention of Markis Negro. At the end of the entries, is Daniel's account for settling the estate of Simeon Williams.

1 volume.
