Fading oral traditions--folklore of Alderman Library from 1930 to the present, 1992.

Wray's paper, written for a course taught by Charles Perdue, was based on interviews with C. Jared Loewenstein, Gayle Cooper, Roy Land, Martin Davis, and Raymond Bice. The paper discusses episodes in Alderman's history, particularly involving ghosts, events, and legendary employees and patrons. Librarians mentioned include Harry Clemons, Louise Savage, and John Cook Wyllie. Transcripts of interviews are included. There is also a reproduction of the title page for the fake book "The California Spaghetti Pickers Stike of 1969; Social Ethics in revolt" by Cesar Chavez Ensalada.
