Letters to Richard Barnes Gooch, 1840, 1842.

In a brief note, 1840 January 1, Wm. M.O. writes "The person to whom I adress my self slept very late this morning because it was New Year." The note is written on the back of a letter cover to Gooch cancelled Richmond Dec 27. In a letter, 1842 February 11, University of Virginia student G.W. Trueheart asks if Gooch will pay the $10 Trueheart won from him to a Mr. Allen to whom he owes money.
