The collection contains postcards and photographs of scenes in Fredericksburg, Va., and Wakefield, Va. Most of the places depicted are associated with George Washington and Mary Ball Washington. Scenes include the monument at Washington's birth place, Mary Washington's home, "Kenmore," "Chatham," "Rising Sun Tavern," Mary Washington College and the Princess Anne Hotel. The collection also contains an advertising flyer in the form of a letter, 1926 March, from the Citizen's Guild of Washington's Boyhood Home promoting a publication of John Marshall's biography of Washington.
