The paper investigates the evolution of the building within the context of its entire history, beginning with its construction in 1925 as a meeting house for Sphinx Head, Cornell's oldest secret society through its rebirth in 1979 as a residence for Steven Mensch, into its transition to studio space for astronomer Carl Sagan and his wife Ann Druyan. Also includes copies of background documents used for the paper.
