B.B. Greenlee papers, 1931-1932.

The B.B. Greenlee Papers consists of photographs from 1931 to 1932 demonstrating various aspects of gold mining in Interior Alaska, mainly the Fairbanks region. Photographs depict operations along Gilmore and Butte Creeks as well as in Chatanika and Ester, Alaska, including hydraulic mining and placer mining. There is also a group photograph of students from the Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines (now University of Alaska Fairbanks) in the spring of 1932. The manuscript portion of this collection consists of mining notes and a fee statement.

Barney B. Greenlee attended the Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines circa 1932. Later Greenlee worked as both a miner and mining engineer and eventually became the general manager of the Britannia mining operation in British Columbia.
