D. Jerrold letters, portrait, and caricature, between 1830 and 1857?

The collection contains three letters, a portrait, and a caricature. Jerrold writes to Dear Madam, 27 Dec., year not given, about the meeting of the Whittington Club; and two letters to My dear [Benjamin] Webster, 22 Feb., year not given [probably 1850s], making an appointment, and, 23 Sept., year not given [probably 1850? because that's the year Catspaw made its stage debut], making an appointment and explaining his delay in having The catspaw ready for the stage. The letter of 23 Sept. has been mounted in a thick paper frame and includes the watermark "[Wh]atman." Also included is an portrait taken from an engraving done by Henry Linton Sc. which has been mounted on a paper frame, and a caricature of Thackeray, Jerrold, and Gilbert À Beckett, possibly taken from Punch, which has been pasted to a thick piece of paper. The caricaturist is unknown.
