Parkinson family papers, 1853-1941, (bulk 1858-1892).

Contains manuscript notes on medical lectures, broadsides related to Parkinson's medical lectures, his 1873 patent for improvement to a medical inhaler and related correspondence with the U.S. Patent Office, two broadsides and a manuscript announcement for "Dr. Parkinson's Patent American Complete Pocket Medical Inhaler," two account books (one with water damage) from his Vineland practice in 1870, Parkinson's trade card, letters related to medical cases, two rough sketches of the human circulatory system, some homeopathic and scientific literature of the period, letters from Parkinson to Anna S. Albinson and their marriage certificate, Parkinson's will, and several deeds fo transfer for property. Also included is the 1941 obituary of James C. Parkinson, Jr. from the "Evening Journal."

William Samuel Waithman Ruschenberger (1807-1895) was a physician in the U.S. Medical Corps from 1826 through the middle of the nineteenth century.
