Photograph Album Fragment Relating to the University of Florida, 1938.

Three loose pages from a photograph album of unknown provenance dated 1938. Most of the photographs are very small with the smallest being 1 1/4 by 1 1/2 inches. Despite their small size the details are very clear. Most of the photographs are identified and include a variety of people and subjects associated with the University of Florida as well as the office of the Williston Sun newspaper. Most notable is a photograph of historian C. Vann Woodward during his brief stay at the University of Florida and several shots of the library and its staff. Other Florida faculty depicted are President John J. Tigert, music professor John W. DeBruyn, librarian Elizabeth Jernigan, and political science professor William G. Carleton. A number of students are also named.
