Howard Hill Reid papers, 1909-1985.

The collection consists of miscellaneous papers that document Howard Reid's time at Norwich University, including correspondence relating to both the loan of Norwich University cavalry horses to various camps in Vermont in the summer of 1911 and to the performance of Reid and his horse, Haleyon, in an endurance horse race in 1913. Also included are letters sent to Hill and his wife, Pearl, subsequent to his graduation. One letter, dated 1985, to Pearl Reid is in French.

Howard H. Reid of Barre, VT, pursued a course in civil engineering while at Norwich University. He graduated with the class of 1912. He played football and was a member of the glee club.
