Three programs from reception for Carl A. Kroch, and invitation and tags addressed to Herbert Finch, May 26, 1981. Also includes correspondence of Charles Lake concerning Kroch's endowment of a librarian at Cornell University and a photograph of Carl and Jeannette Kroch, Robert Peck, Charles Lake, and Louis Martin. Also, material relating to the dedication of the Carl A. Kroch Library, including brochures, photographs, and clippings, copies of the book SO RED THE NOSE (co-edited by Carl Kroch), photocopies of newsletters from Kroch's & Brentano's, with columns by Carl Kroch. Includes diaries (1958-1998), typescript memoir, photograph album, visitor books, business papers related to the merger of Kroch's & Brentano's in the 1940's, Carl Kroch's Navy records, bookstore income tax records from the 1930's-1950's, souvenirs relating to the International Wine and Food Society, statue of Ezra Cornell, and framed photographs and diploma. Also contains 34 photograph albums, 1981-1986 documenting social life, including birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays; events at Kroch and Brentano's including Lana Turner autographing party; wine tasting events, including Commanderie de Bordeaux dinners; events and dinners at the Tavern Club; and events honoring Joseph Cardinal Bernardin. Also athletic events, including Super Bowl games (XVI 1982, XVII 1983, XX 1986) and other football games, Cincinnati Reds training camps and games, All-Star baseball games, Championship (1984) and World Series games (Philadelphia 1983, Kansas City and St. Louis 1985, N.Y. and Boston 1986); and Lake Zurich Golf Club.
