Ritual of the degree of Knights of Malta, 1874-1890.

Descriptions of rituals of the Knights of Malta, including the setup of the guard room and the chapter house, the costumes worn, the positions occupied by various members of the group, and rituals such as the opening of the preceptory and the ceremony of installation.These descriptions are followed by a history of the order. At the end of volume 2, in pencil, are notes from a history of the Knights Templar by Charles G. Addison. Vol. 1 has a leaf of manuscript notes laid in, along with a letter to John S. Derby, dated March 3, 1874, informing him that he has been elected Judge of the Municipal Court of Saco, Maine. Vol. 2 has a ribbon from the St. Mungo Encampment of Knights Templar, Glasgow, laid in.
