License to trade with Indians and trade document of Meriwn H. Angevine, 1889-1896.

License for trade with the Sioux Indians at Standing Rock Agency, North Dakota, issued to Merwin H. Angevine. Signed by John H. Oberly, commissioner of the Office of Indian Affairs, Washington, D.C. Also a written agreement for a loan between Angevine and W. D. Campbell, dated February 27, 1896, from Los Angeles, California. The agreement gives a list of items Angevine is putting up for collateral for the $50 loan from Campbell. The items include a revolver supposed to be a relic from the Custer battlefield, a revolver supposed to have belonged to Sitting Bull and his son, a medal issued by President Lincoln in 1862, and a pair of Iroquois ear ornaments.
