Album with half leather binding with gilt "Herbarium" on cover and gilt tooling. Contains 71 leaves of mounted specimens of American flowers with hand-written identifications. Some specimens dated 1888, 1889 or 1890 and some with places indicated. Front endpaper has two inscriptions: "Mrs. Ira Y. Munn, Quary Colorado, 1889" ; "To Mabel Ashley Kizer, 1931. Aunty Munn's maiden name was Tillie Forsythe, a sister of General George Alexander Forsythe."
