Also, typescript notes about a trip to Indonesia in 1955-1956, index cards relating to her work and travel in Indonesia, an audio tape from the Dedication of the Claire Holt Memorial Collection Inauguration Ceremony at Lembaga, August 6, 1970.

Claire Holt was born in Riga, Latvia in 1901. Her family moved to Moscow in 1914; in 1920 she married, and shortly thereafter she and her husband emigrated from the Soviet Union. In 1921 they settled in New York, where Holt attended Brooklyn Law School, the Cooper Union Art School, and Columbia University School of Journalism.
