Pamphlets on agriculture in late 18th-century France, 1775-1789.

Essays, satires, and fictitious dialogues on agricultural issues. Topics include the problem of ensuring an adequate food supply, proposals for reform of the economy, and food riots. Included is Balthazar Georges Sage's Analyse des Blés et Expériences Propres à Faire Connoître la Qualité du Froment (Paris: Imprimerie Royale, 1776), and a response to Jacques Necker's solutions for the subsistence problem by Charles Alexandre de Calonne. Other authors represented include Antoine Augustin Parmentier.
