Pamphlets on Jansenism and Jesuits in late 18th-century France, 1752-1787.

Essays, speeches, decrees, minutes of meetings, and poems concerning Jansenism and Jesuits. Included are a decree by the Conseil d'Etat suppressing the first two volumes of the Encylopédie; an essay on the papal bull Unigenitus, which ignited a political struggle over Jansenism; and a commentary by Henri Griffet on La Chalotais's Compte Rendu des Constitutions des Jesuites (1762). Authors represented, in addition to the above, include Louis XV, Jansenist theologian Bernard Lambert, and the Parlement of Paris.
