Letters : to Jesse Gade, 1838-1841.

Letter dated Nov. 1, 1838, from Tinmouth, Vt., asking Gade's opinion in the case of a widow claiming a pension because her husband served in the Revolutionary War before their marriage; and letter dated Sept. 30, 1841, also from Tinmouth, about the possible publication in the Rutland Herald of a letter from Mr. Maddison to Mr. Ingerford on the establishment of a United States Bank. Chipman expresses his own opinion on the subject and asks for Gade's.
